How we collect information

We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, contact a campus, request a tour, follow an enrollment link, communicate with us, or apply for employment. We also collect information automatically from browsers and devices through hosting, security, cookie, analytics, and similar technologies. Service providers may provide information to us when they perform services on our behalf.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, tags, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the websites, remember choices, understand website use, measure outreach and conversions, and support security.

Strictly necessary technologies may operate because they are required to provide requested functions, store privacy choices, or maintain security. Optional analytics, functionality, performance, and advertising technologies are controlled through the CookieYes banner. You may select Accept All, Reject All, or Customize, and you may later reopen Cookie Settings to change your choices.

Browser privacy signals vary by browser and website configuration. At this time, visitors should use the CookieYes banner or Cookie Settings control on each website to communicate choices about optional technologies.

How we disclose personal information

We may disclose personal information to service providers and other recipients for the purposes described in this notice, including:

  • Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, and legal counsel.
  • Government agencies, regulators, law enforcement, courts, or other parties when required or permitted by law.
  • A successor or other party involved in a merger, reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the organization, subject to applicable law.

The Vendor and Technology Disclosure below describes services observed on or linked from the websites. Services and configurations may vary by website and page.

Sale or sharing of personal information

Springfield does not sell personal information in exchange for money. The websites use analytics, advertising, and conversion-measurement technologies. Depending on applicable law and how a technology is configured, certain disclosures through those technologies may be treated as “sharing” or targeted advertising even when no money is exchanged.

You may reject or disable optional technology categories through the CookieYes banner or Cookie Settings control. Springfield does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16.

Privacy rights and requests

Depending on applicable law and subject to exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; obtain information about collection and disclosure; opt out of certain sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising activity; limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and receive equal service without discrimination for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a privacy request, contact the appropriate campus using the information in the Contact Us section below. Please write “Privacy Request” in the subject line or at the top of written correspondence and describe the request and the website or campus involved.

We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing certain requests. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, but we may request proof of authority and direct verification where permitted by law.

Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice. The applicable period depends on the type of information and may include the time needed to respond to an inquiry, administer a requested service or relationship, maintain business and school records, preserve security and consent records, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations. Service providers may retain information according to their agreements, configurations, and applicable notices.

Children’s privacy

The public websites are intended for parents, guardians, prospective employees, and other adults. They are not directed to children under 13 for the purpose of collecting information directly from them. A parent or guardian may provide information about a child when requesting enrollment or school services. If we learn that a child submitted personal information directly through a public website without appropriate authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Third-party websites and embedded content

The websites may link to or display content from third parties, such as enrollment, scheduling, video, social-media, review, and mapping services. When you follow a link or interact with embedded content, the third party may collect information under its own privacy notice. We encourage you to review the third party’s notice before providing information.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this notice as our websites, providers, or practices change. We will post the revised notice and update the effective or last-updated date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.
